Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Staff Accountant with a strong
inclination toward Accounting Administrator responsibilities. This role blends traditional
accounting functions with administrative oversight of financial processes, ensuring
accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency across the accounting department.
The ideal candidate is hands-on with day-to-day accounting tasks and proactive in
improving systems, maintaining documentation, and supporting cross-functional financial
operations.
Key Responsibilities
Core Accounting Functions
• Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and reconciliations
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
• Reconcile bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts
• Support payroll processing and expense management
• Assist with financial reporting and audit preparation
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
Accounting Administration & Process Oversight
• Maintain and improve accounting workflows and documentation
• Oversee financial data integrity within accounting systems
• Administer accounting software and support system upgrades
• Manage vendor onboarding and W-9 collection
• Coordinate with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors
• Monitor internal controls and recommend process improvements
• Support budgeting and forecasting administration
• Maintain organized digital and physical financial records
Qualifications & Skills
• Experience in accounting or administrative support (A/R experience strongly
preferred)
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
• Comfortable working with financial systems, spreadsheets, and data entry
• Self-starter with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
• Interest in building and improving processes, not just following them
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Notary Public certification is a plus (not required)
