Staff Accountant

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
· 3-5 years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
· Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP).
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP)
· Excellent attention to detail and organization skills.
· Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred qualifications
· Must be able to lift up-to 25 lbs. at a time.
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Experience in a corporate accounting environment.
· Familiarity with ERP systems.
· Prepare and maintain journal entries, general ledger reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
· Assist with monthly and year-end closing processes.
· Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
· Maintain accurate records of assets, liabilities, revenue, and expenses.
· Provide advice on treatment of inventory and COGS.
· Maintain fixed assets and depreciation schedules.
· Review and approve new customer credit applications.
· Assist with escalated delinquent accounts.
· Assist in preparing financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
· Support audits (internal and external) by providing necessary documentation.
· Monitor and analyze accounting data to identify trends or errors.
· Help ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
· Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and reconciling accounts to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information. This role supports the accounting team with general ledger activities, month-end close processes, annual financial audit and compliance with regulatory standards.
