Location: Fort Lauderdale (On-Site)
Salary Range: $60,000-70,000

We are seeking an Assistant Controller to serve as a key member of the accounting team, providing in-office support while working closely with the Controller. The position offers strong cross-training opportunities and long-term succession potential.
Staff Accountant Responsibilities:
- Support day-to-day accounting operations including cutting checks, journal entries, account reconciliations, and bill entry
- Assist with payroll and billing verification, coordinating with internal departments to validate financial data
- Maintain Excel-based tracking and reporting for management and ownership
- Respond to urgent and time-sensitive accounting requests as they arise
- Work closely with the Controller to ensure accuracy and efficiency in accounting processes
- Assist with financial documentation, record keeping, and operational support for the accounting function
Staff Accountant Qualifications:
- 3-5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within logistics, transportation, or construction industries
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- Strong experience with QuickBooks Desktop
- Advanced Excel skills, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and reliability
