Job description:
Staff Accountant- Direct Hire
Overview
We are seeking experienced Staff Accountants with strong bank reconciliation skills to join a growing finance team. These roles involve general accounting, financial reporting, and internal control responsibilities. After a 90-day training period, a hybrid work schedule may be available.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general cost accounting and related duties
- Prepare and manage cash flow projections
- Generate timely financial reports (weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual)
- Reconcile bank accounts and support monthly closings
- Ensure all departments adhere to financial policies
- Oversee internal controls, audits, and compliance with financial regulations
- Develop, maintain, and monitor accounting policies and procedures
- Supervise and set targets for accounting and finance personnel
- Monitor company financial position and manage risk
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or similar role
- Strong bank reconciliation experience required
- In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles
- Solid skills in financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting
- Understanding of GAAP and ability to apply it accurately
- Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks)
- Analytical mindset with strategic thinking
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA a plus
