Staff Accountant (Hybrid) - Cobb County, GA
Responsibilities
- Prepare and process monthly client billing; maintain billing schedules and oversee accounts receivable.
- Monitor contractor budgets and produce accurate, timely budget-related reporting.
- Review and process purchases and expense reports in alignment with client Statements of Work (SOW) and project budgets.
- Coordinate and lead client team meetings to report status updates and monitor project progress.
- Continuously evaluate and enhance internal processes to improve efficiency and support company growth.
- Generate internal financial reports and analyses as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- 2–3 years of progressive accounting or finance experience demonstrating strong technical skills.
- Working knowledge of GAAP, particularly related to revenue recognition in a services‑based environment.
- Experience with NetSuite is preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong financial analysis skills with the ability to gather, interpret, and present data.
- Effective critical thinking and problem‑solving abilities to address daily operational challenges.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Strong relationship‑building skills and the ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external stakeholders.
- Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills.
