Key Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant
- Deliver accurate account reconciliations and bank statement analyses to support monthly close and maintain audit readiness
- Analyze, prepare accruals, and support expense tracking across AP/GL—ensuring alignment with department budgets and actuals
- Collaborate in payroll entries, support departmental reporting, and contribute to year-end financial preparation
- Drive automation and data management using advanced Excel (pivot tables, financial analysis) and hospital ERP systems (MediTech)
- Facilitate audit workflows: gather supporting documentation, manage audit requests, and ensure regulatory compliance with minimal supervision
Preferred Skills/Experience
- Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance with demonstrated accounting fundamentals (budgeting, reconciliation, AP/GL)
- Advanced Excel skills (including pivot tables) and experience with large financial data sets
- Professional drive, self-motivation, and ability to adapt in a visible, high-accountability environment
- CPA track a plus!
Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 9:00 am–5:00 pm, fully on-site
Compensation
- $20-25/hr
