Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support budgeting, reconciliations, and financial reporting. This role partners with the Budget Manager and internal departments to ensure accurate financial data, audit readiness, and efficient budget execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Support annual and departmental budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Perform QuickBase reconciliations and closeout (required)
- Maintain audit-ready reconciliations and supporting documentation
- Reconcile bank accounts and credit cards; research and resolve discrepancies
- Prepare monthly sales tax reports and assist with board-level reporting
- Assist with financial analysis, surveys, and cost-benefit reviews
- Monitor departmental spending against approved budgets
- Execute transactions in budgeting, accounting, and purchasing systems
- Support documentation of budget policies, procedures, and manuals
- Respond to internal inquiries related to budgets, forecasts, and financial data
Qualifications
- Experience with QuickBase reconciliation and closeout
- Strong reconciliation and general accounting background
- Budgeting and financial reporting experience
- Audit support or audit-ready accounting experience
- Strong Excel and financial systems skills
