The Opportunity
The Stacker is responsible for unitizing and labeling finished cases for shipment to the customer. This role ensures products meet quality, safety, and productivity standards while maintaining accurate documentation and compliance with facility programs.
How You Will Impact Smurfit WestRock:
- Ensure product is tagged properly and stacked to specifications.
- Inspect all cases to confirm proper sealing and absence of damage; ensure all quality specifications are met.
- Read, interpret, and understand all product load tags.
- Complete all paperwork and system transactions accurately and on time.
- Follow all machine-specific lockout/tagout procedures as needed.
- Minimize product damage through safe, careful handling.
- Meet and exceed established productivity goals.
- Accurately complete daily production records and enter data into the computer system.
- Maintain full compliance with GMPs.
- Maintain housekeeping excellence in accordance with the Golden Broom Program.
- Follow and promote all facility safety procedures and programs.
- Perform all required customer and departmental quality checks.
- Support compliance with YUM!/AIB audit regulations.
What You Need to Succeed:
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Equivalent experience or training that demonstrates ability to perform job responsibilities.
- Prior work experience in a corrugated manufacturing plant.
Licenses & Certifications
- Criminal background and drug screen required.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Forklift License.
Technical Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
- In-depth understanding of company and customer quality expectations.
- Knowledge of palletization specifications and labeling requirements.
- Understanding of safety and health requirements and applicable programs.
- Strong time‑management skills.
- Ability to organize information effectively.
Materials & Equipment Knowledge
- Experience operating personal computers and related peripherals.
- Use of telephone and standard communication equipment.
- Ability to work in periodically dusty and noisy environments.
- Ability to work effectively with team members to meet production goals.
