Sr. Software Engineer - Full-Stack Developer

Aquinas Consulting is currently looking to fill a HYBRID Software Engineer job in Bethesda, MD with a key client in the Hospitality Space. If you have eight or more years of experience with ReactJS, NodeJS, and GraphQL and a strong full-stack background, this CONTRACT opportunity could be a great fit for you. In this role, you will design, develop, and implement enterprise-level Core Services applications while working closely with stakeholders and business teams to deliver high-quality solutions. You will bring deep technical expertise across the full stack, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced agile environment.

Software Engineer Job Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and implement enterprise-level Core Services applications using NodeJS, ReactJS, GraphQL, and TypeScript
• Handle complex full-stack projects involving scalable databases, API integrations, and cloud environments
• Write efficient, reusable code for high-quality, responsive, and cross-platform applications with emphasis on both front-end and back-end development
• Participate in code reviews, ensure compliance with best coding standards, and contribute to bug fixing and debugging efforts
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment, delivering tasks on time within sprint cycles

Qualifications:

• Eight plus years of experience with ReactJS or NodeJS and GraphQL or a similar JavaScript framework
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and proven experience designing and developing GraphQL-based backend systems
• Deep understanding of NestJS and its application in building Apollo Federation Subgraphs
• Experience with Docker, Event-Driven architecture with Kafka, and Web Sockets for real-time data communication
• Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases, Bash scripting, and the nx monorepo toolset
• Proficient with GIT including pull requests, merging, and resolving conflicts in a volatile codebase
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
