Senior Sales & Distribution Systems Consultant

What You'll Do:

The Senior Sales & Distribution Systems Consultant is responsible for implementing strategy and prioritization of business technology/solutions for Sales & Distribution departments. This role ensures that sales teams have the tools and systems they need by managing projects, performing business analyst and quality assurance roles, coordinating and/or delivering training, and acting as a liaison between IT and the business. This position is focused on the main enterprise system Microsoft Dynamics CRM that is utilized across all three business units and the agency field force. This person will also work with IT to coordinate and leverage the partnership with Microsoft and any associated implementation partners as needed.

This position requirements include:

  • Act as a liaison between the business, IT and external vendors on projects, building relationships on all sides and resolving conflicts when necessary. This may include agents, agency staff, field users, home office employees and external vendors.
  • Build and maintain open lines of communication by assisting in gathering and reporting project information, and presenting to department leadership, business sponsor or executive leadership when requested.
  • Coordinate and/or deliver training and user support as needed for: new systems, system enhancements, new or changed procedures, and new or changed processes.
  • Represent business interests and clearly express vision, value and needs for Sales & Distribution tools. Understand and communicate end-to-end agent and field/home office users' experience of the Sales & Distribution support tools, including integrations and dependencies.
  • Lead the definition & prioritization of user stories and associated acceptance criteria. Accept or reject completed development work based upon defined acceptance criteria. Contribute to quality assurance activities and tasks as needed. Provide guidance and support to ensure delivery.
  • Partner with other business product owners as needed to maintain a consistent product vision and deliver improved experiences

What It Takes to Join Our Team:

  • College degree or equivalent plus seven years relevant experience required.
  • Specific experience with Microsoft Dynamics CRM or other Client Management Systems.
  • Must be familiar with Farm Bureau products, services, and strategies affecting the life business.
  • Must possess excellent leadership, oral and written communication, planning, decision making, and negotiation skills.
  • Must be results-oriented and able to adapt and deal with ambiguous situations and manage expectations.
  • Must be able to build strong relationships with the Businesses, IT and external vendors.
  • Proven ability to negotiate for competing resources and to generate consensus among multiple interrelated priority projects.
  • Must have the aptitude to learn both business and technical terms and processes well enough to be a strong liaison between IT, the Business and external vendors.
  • Some travel may be required. (up to 20%)
