Our company is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sr. Project Manager-Multi Family Construction (Wood Frame) to join our team. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing our construction projects, particularly in multi-family wood frame construction. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in managing large-scale, ground-up wood frame construction projects, from inception to completion, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all aspects of construction project from planning to implementation, specifically for multi-family wood frame construction projects.
2. Allocate resources for assigned projects.
3. Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors.
4. Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients.
5. Negotiate with contractors to receive reasonable order costs.
6. Maintain high standards of workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications.
7. Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
8. Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
9. Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks.
10. Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field.
2. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in construction project management, specifically in multi-family wood frame construction projects.
3. Proven working experience in construction management, including record of successful project completion.
4. Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods.
5. Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards.
6. Understanding of all facets of the construction process.
7. Proficient in using construction management software packages.
8. Ability to plan and see the "big picture".
9. Competent in conflict and crisis management.
10. Excellent time and project management skills.
11. Strong leadership and team building abilities.
12. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
13. Ability to read blueprints, structural drawings, and plan sets.
14. Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
15. Must have a valid driver's license.
