It requires strong technical, analytical, and leadership capabilities to partner cross-functionally, guide R&D, support sales, and ensure successful product performance in biopharma markets.

This client is a global provider of scientific and analytical technologies serving bio-processing, clinical, and veterinary markets, with a strong focus on advancing patient care through innovative instrumentation. They develop and manufacture advanced blood testing analyzers and diagnostic systems used across hospital point‑of‑care, critical care, biotechnology, and other specialized applications.
Description
Product Development & Strategy
- Help shape new instrument features and capabilities by building business cases grounded in customer workflows, technical needs, and market trends.
- Translate high‑level ideas into clear customer requirements and contribute to maintaining a focused, practical product roadmap.
- Work closely with R&D teams to clarify requirements, answer technical questions, and provide feedback throughout development.
- Identify opportunities to improve existing instruments based on customer feedback, demos, and field interactions.
- Maintain a long‑term view of the product line, keeping plans aligned with where upstream bioprocessing and real‑time analytics are heading.
Launch & Go‑to‑Market Execution
- Lead the planning and coordination for new releases, working across teams such as R&D, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Finance, and Supply Chain.
- Develop clear value propositions and messaging that resonate with upstream scientists, bioprocess engineers, and manufacturing teams.
- Work with Operations and Finance to guide pricing, margin expectations, and positioning in a competitive landscape.
- Oversee creation of customer facing materials such as guides, technical documents, and application‑focused marketing assets.
Market & Competitive Understanding
- Spend time engaging with users to understand how the instrument fits into real workflows.
- Stay informed on developments in bioprocess monitoring, process analytics, automation, and connected bioreactor systems.
Commercial & Sales Support
- Work with regional teams to build realistic sales projections, identify growth opportunities, and understand market needs by region or application.
- Join customer calls, demos, and technical discussions to help translate scientific and engineering details into practical, real‑world benefits.
- Contribute to marketing plans and support campaigns that highlight key applications, such as upstream optimization, metabolite tracking, or process monitoring.
Profile
Product Management Experience
- Experience supporting or managing a life‑science instrument or analytical product, especially those used in cell culture or bioprocess monitoring.
- Comfortable working across the product lifecycle: gathering customer insights, helping shape requirements, and supporting launches.
- Familiarity with activities like VOC, competitive insights, and basic go‑to‑market planning.
- Enjoys collaborating with different teams such as R&D, Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Manufacturing, Quality, and Regulatory.
Technical & Domain Expertise
- Background in bioprocessing, upstream development, cell culture, or biomanufacturing.
- Exposure to bioprocess analytical tools or bioreactor‑related technologies.
- General understanding of cell metabolism, upstream process control, or common culture workflows (batch, fed‑batch, perfusion).
- Awareness of regulated environments (GMP/GxP) and how products support workflows from early R&D through scale‑up.
Education & Skills
- Degree in Bioprocess Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Cell Biology, Bioengineering, or a related scientific or engineering field (advanced degrees welcome but not required).
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills, with the ability to work well with both technical and commercial teams.
- Comfortable presenting ideas, product updates, or business cases when needed.
- Willing to travel occasionally for customer visits, conferences, or internal collaboration.
