Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead by hands on example and collaborate with a team of
engineers in designing advanced thin-film chemical vapor deposition and related systems. The ideal candidate will
have extensive experience with SolidWorks™ and Microsoft Office. Proficiency in thermal and fluid (gas)
dynamics modeling, FEA, and program management is highly desirable and considered a strong plus. This role
involves design, prototyping, documentation, bill of materials creation, budget management, quoting, vendor and
customer engagement and support, as well as occasional domestic and international travel.

Key Responsibilities
* Design, implement, maintain, and improve products and systems.
* Utilize engineering tools such as SolidWorks™, AutoCAD, and other design software for computer-aided
design and technical tasks.
* Prepare detailed project cost estimates, delivery schedules, and related documentation.
* Develop and enforce construction, manufacturing, and installation standards.
* Create and maintain technical documentation, including operational manuals, P&IDs, and PFDs.
* Write reports, deliver presentations, and conduct meetings with clients and management.
* Oversee maintenance programs, inspections, and system upgrades.
* Ensure quality assurance and adherence to project specifications.
* Interact with clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams to ensure project success.
* Provide hands-on support for the assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of designs.
* Collaborate on control systems design, including PLCs and industrial protocols (e.g., Modbus TCP/IP,
EtherCAT).



Skills and Qualifications
* Bachelor and/or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with 5+ years of experience in
mechanical design, preferably in semiconductor, vacuum or complex equipment manufacturing.
* Proficiency in SolidWorks™, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong knowledge of electrical schematics, microprocessors, and microcontrollers is highly desirable.
* Familiarity with PLCs and control systems, including hardware and software such as Modbus TCP/IP and
EtherCAT, is a significant plus.
* Demonstrated expertise in project management, analytical thinking, and problem-solving.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
* Strong commitment to safety, reliability, and operational efficiency.
* Ability to read and interpret vendor manuals and technical documentation.
* Knowledge of electrical circuit operations and schematic diagrams.
Pay: $32.00 - $42.00
