Sr. Land & Lease Contract Analyst

Opportunity Snapshot:

• Compensation: $70-80/hour
• Location: The Woodlands, TX
• Assignment Duration: 12 months+
• Work Schedule: 9/80 hybrid  (Tues-Thurs in office)

• Analyses and inputs lease data to ensure completeness, accuracy and consistency
• Prepares full and partial releases, assignments and Exhibit A’s for producing properties
• Assists with working monthly calendars for leases
• Assists Land Operations as requested
• Conducts lease/unit reviews for shut-in wells and processes payments, subject to review and approval
• Identifies and tracks contractual obligations associated with lease acquisitions, trades and divestitures
• Assists within department with special projects including Acquisition & Divestitures
• Ensures continuous development of leases is accurately tracked
• Responsible for an area of operation
• Interprets contracts and leases for all properties, identifying and resolving technical, data-related and process/procedural issues
• Identifies and offers alternative solutions to effectively resolve issues and deliver improvements to processes and systems
• Processes and tracks partner offerings and make necessary updates to records
• Responsible for preparing agreement exhibits, and lease/acreage reports for business units and upper management
• May serve as primary point of contact for landowners and other stakeholders, resolving issues about property status and land administration procedure
• Maintains affiliations with local/national associations and is an active participant through attending meetings and networking events on a frequent basis

• 6+ years of relevant experience with Bachelor’s degree
• New Mexico lease and contracts experience a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and willing to learn other computer applications
• Knowledge of Quorum Land System/SAP experience a plus
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills – both written and verbal
• Ability to work under deadlines and sometimes on multiple projects
• Handle confidential and proprietary company data and information
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
• Knowledge of basic land principles and their application with the ability to analyze land data for the entry into the land data management system
• General understanding of land terminology, contracts, and their uses with the ability to work on projects of increased complexity under general direction
