Our client in the pharma industry is seeking a Sr. IT Delivery Lead to join a long-term, multi-year initiative in Rensselaer, NY. The Senior IT Delivery Leader is accountable for delivery outcomes not just status reporting across complex, strategic technology programs supporting IOPS functional domains. This is not a traditional project manager role. The Delivery Leader owns flow of work, capacity alignment, and bottleneck removal across cross-functional teams spanning internal stakeholders (Manufacturing, QC, QA, Supply Chain, Process Sciences, Facilities, IT) and external vendors in a GMP-regulated environment.
Role Overview:
- Location: Rensselaer, NY (Onsite 4 days/week)
- Duration: Multi-year contract
- Hourly Rate: $55/hr $90/hr
- Own delivery across system implementations, upgrades, integrations, and sustainment initiatives
- Translate strategic priorities into sequenced, capacity-aligned delivery plans with clear commitments
- Proactively identify and eliminate delivery bottlenecks across people, process, and vendors
- Drive demand intake, prioritization, and capacity forecasting, ensuring realistic commitments
- Prevent overcommitment by creating visibility into trade-offs and structured deferrals
- Lead execution using JIRA as a delivery management system, including:
- Backlog structuring
- Throughput tracking
- Milestone visibility
- Facilitate Agile and hybrid delivery models in regulated, complex environments.
- Convert execution data into clear operational and executive-level reporting.
- Proven experience owning delivery outcomes within GMP-regulated environments (pharma, biotech, or med-tech)
- Demonstrated success managing capacity vs. demand across complex, multi-vendor programs
- Hands-on expertise using Jira to manage delivery flow and predictability
- Strong executive-level communication skills (written and verbal)
- Experience leading Agile delivery in regulated or constrained environments
- Ability to adapt Agile frameworks to hybrid delivery models
- Proven ability to translate delivery metrics into actionable insights and reporting
- Experience delivering programs across IOPS domains, including:
- Manufacturing
- Quality Control (QC)
- Quality Assurance (QA)
- Supply Chain
- Process Sciences
- Facilities
- Familiarity with key enterprise and laboratory platforms such as:
- LabWare (LIMS)
- PAS-X (MES)
- Oracle Fusion (ERP)
- Veeva
- Enterprise Integration Platforms / Lab Bus
- Maximo
- Working knowledge of:
- GMP regulations
- Computer System Validation (CSV)
- 21 CFR Part 11 compliance
- Health, Dental, Vision Insurance
