Sr. Inventory Accounting Manager – Everett, WA (Hybrid)
Salary Range: $114,400 – $151,500 DOE

Responsibilities

As the Sr. Inventory Accounting Manager, you will:

  • Oversee inventory accounting processes, including monthly close, reconciliations, and reporting

  • Maintain inventory records, perform variance analysis, and track KPIs/metrics

  • Manage reserves, obsolescence, tooling, and prepaid inventory reconciliations

  • Oversee duty accruals, freight, and in-transit inventory accounting

  • Analyze ledger data to identify trends and discrepancies

  • Support audits and ensure SOX compliance

  • Drive process improvements and maintain documentation of key procedures

  • Supervise and mentor the Inventory Supervisor and team

This role provides exposure to complex inventory accounting processes while offering leadership opportunities and the chance to influence operational accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field

  • 5+ years of inventory accounting experience, preferably in retail or consumer packaged goods (CPG)

  • Solid general accounting experience including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close

  • Experience managing or supervising staff preferred

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to review large data sets and identify variances

  • Advanced Excel skills; proficiency with BI/reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Microsoft NAV a plus

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate cross-functionally
