Senior Financial Analyst – Real Estate (Chicago, IL)
The Senior Financial Analyst will serve as a key partner to leadership, translating financial and operational data into insights that shape business strategy. The role offers significant visibility, opportunities for ownership, and the ability to influence investment decisions, performance optimization, and organizational growth.
This is a Chicago‑based hybrid position, with an expectation of 3–4 days per week in the downtown office.
Responsibilities
- Partner with teams across Operations, Finance, Accounting, Technology, and Corporate Development to deliver clear, data‑driven insights for leadership decision‑making.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and recurring financial reporting for a multi‑asset real estate portfolio.
- Build and maintain financial models that explain performance drivers and support long‑term planning.
- Support investment analysis, including underwriting, due diligence, and post‑acquisition performance tracking.
- Assist with debt analysis for new financing and refinancing activities.
- Enhance reporting tools, streamline workflows, and introduce automation or AI‑enabled solutions to improve efficiency.
- Conduct market and industry research to contextualize internal performance trends.
- Contribute to cross‑functional initiatives focused on operational improvements, growth opportunities, and process optimization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or a similar analytical role.
- Real estate experience required, ideally in commercial or operationally intensive assets.
- Strong financial modeling, analytical, and communication skills.
- Experience with automation tools, AI‑driven reporting, or business intelligence platforms.
- Advanced Excel and presentation skills preferred; familiarity with Tableau or Power BI is a plus.
- Ability to work 3–4 days per week in the Chicago office.
