SUMMARY

Intrepid is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to join our office. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing financial analysis and support to the organization, including developing financial models, preparing financial reports, and performing budgeting and forecasting. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of financial principles, with the capacity to align financial strategies with overall business objectives.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: What will you be doing?

  • Analyze financial data and provide to management.
  • Develop and implement financial models for forecasting and budgeting.
  • Provide guidance on investment decisions and strategies.
  • Manage budgets, forecasts and actuals within NetSuite
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify areas of improvement.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and other documents.
  • Manage the office budget and reconcile accounts.
  • Maintain a detailed understanding of the company’s financial position.
  • Support the accounting and month-end close process.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Who will you be in charge of?

COMPETENCIES: What do you bring to the team?

  • Business/Finance degree
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience as a senior financial analyst, financial analyst, or in a similar position
  • Advanced skills and experience in MS Office Excel
  • Experience with NetSuite
  • Familiarity with Power BI and ability to automate/standardize reports utilizing data flows
  • Demonstrated ability to connect financial analysis to broader business objectives and market trends and to translate findings into clear communications, presentations and insights for leaders.
  • Excellent administrative and organizational skills with ability to set priorities, adjust and respond professionally to changing priorities and ad hoc issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal savviness skills with a proven ability to interact with all levels of management.
  • Possesses strong leadership/command skills and demonstrates organizational agility
  • Ability to learn new concepts and tasks quickly, work under pressure, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Excellent technical learning, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of both GAAP / IFRS is an asset
