Job Summary

This is a remote opportunity. The role involves providing problem-solving and support in the installation of on-site water purification systems both domestically and internationally. This position requires up to 75-80% travel nationwide.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manage sub-contractors and assist with the installation of on-site water purification systems.
  • Provide customer service, schedule installations, and handle warranty repairs.
  • Diagnose system operation and mechanical problems, providing resolutions to ensure product quality assurance and control.
  • Recommend proper procedures for dismantling customer equipment safely and professionally.
  • Provide training to customers and in-house staff.
  • Control and monitor service costs and schedules to meet contractual commitments.
  • Conduct inspections and sign-off on the proper installation of equipment.
  • Write field service work-orders and maintain records of field-directed changes for billing purposes.
  • Maintain accurate purchase, inventory, and installation records.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, technical manuals, and diagrams.
  • Respond to after-hours callouts as required.
  • Adhere to all company health and safety procedures related to essential job functions.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of mechanical installation, including water softeners, HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and PLC/HMI software.
  • Knowledge of electrical codes and regulations.
  • Experience operating specialty tools, gauges, and meters for monitoring and testing systems, including chemical test kits.
  • Domestic and international travel experience.

Education and Experience

  • BS in Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • 7-10 years of experience in the installation of mechanical and electrical equipment, engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Frequent climbing, stooping, standing, and frequent ladder/scaffold climbing involved in installation activities.
