Job Summary and Qualifications

Job Summary:

The Senior Director, Labor Operations Analytics serves as a strategic enterprise leader within Performance Improvement, operating in close partnership with the AVP of Operations & Analytics. This role is accountable for advancing enterprise labor governance, productivity strategy, and workforce optimization across divisions.

The Senior Director, alongside with the AVP of Operations & Analytics, owns the design, governance, and sustainment of standardized enterprise productivity frameworks and benchmark methodologies. This includes oversight of Expanse productivity implementation, enterprise benchmark validation, and labor framework integration for new acquisitions.

This role extends beyond traditional analytics. The Senior Director drives operational modernization through intelligent automation and AI-enabled workflow enhancements that accelerate insight generation and strengthen executive decision-making. Acting under the strategic direction of the AVP of Operations & Analytics, the Senior Director functions as an architect of enterprise labor performance infrastructure --ensuring that measurement frameworks are aligned, reliable, and execution-ready across the organization.

Responsibility:

Enterprise Labor Governance & Productivity Strategy

  • Partner with the AVP of Operations & Analytics to define and execute enterprise labor governance strategy.
  • Own the design, governance, and continuous refinement of standardized enterprise productivity frameworks.
  • Establish benchmark methodologies that ensure equitable application, measurement integrity, and financial alignment across divisions.
  • Provide executive advisory leadership on labor performance strategy, structural workforce decisions, and productivity risk mitigation.

Enterprise Initiative Leadership

  • Lead enterprise implementation of Expanse productivity structures, ensuring alignment of measurement standards and operational adoption.
  • Govern enterprise benchmark validation processes to maintain reliability, transparency, and executive confidence in labor performance metrics.
  • Lead labor framework design and integration strategy for new acquisitions, including productivity baselining, target alignment, and post-integration standardization.
  • Partner with Finance and Operations leaders to align labor strategy with enterprise growth and acquisition priorities.

Workforce Optimization & Planning

  • Define enterprise workforce planning standards and scenario-planning approaches that support evolving care models and market growth.
  • Advance workforce management strategies that optimize hiring practices, skill mix alignment, and capacity planning.
  • Translate operational and financial data into actionable strategies that improve labor efficiency, cost stewardship, and organizational agility.

Executive Engagement & Influence

  • Prepare and present strategic labor performance insights to senior executives.
  • Influence division leadership on benchmark interpretation, productivity alignment, and workforce execution strategies.
  • Escalate structural risks, governance concerns, or performance gaps to the AVP as appropriate.
  • Provide functional leadership to division-based analytics resources in support of enterprise standards and alignment.

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Healthcare Administration, Analytics, Finance, or related field.
  • Master’s degree preferred (MBA, MHA, or equivalent).
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in healthcare operations analytics, workforce strategy, productivity management, or performance improvement.
  • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise-level initiatives involving labor governance or productivity frameworks.
  • Experience supporting large-scale system implementations (e.g., EHR productivity structures or workforce management systems).
  • Experience integrating AI-enabled tools or automation into analytics workflows preferred.
