Job Summary
The Senior Category Manager – Business Services (Europe) leads sourcing strategy and supplier management for a €75M portfolio of outsourced services, including workforce, facilities, marketing, and waste management. Acting as the key interface for stakeholders and strategic suppliers, you will drive value, innovation, and cost optimization while managing contracts, supplier performance, and business continuity. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Procurement Europe – Business Services & Direct Materials, you will shape regional category plans and support strategic business initiatives.
Job Description
- Engage with (senior management) stakeholders to understand their vision and objectives and derive strategic category objectives
- Define and execute the regional Category Sourcing & Contracting strategy and plan
- Identify and actively drive opportunities to optimize Value Creation across the European region and across SBU’s
- Deliver cost savings through benchmarking, strategic sourcing, tendering & commercial negotiations, and Business Process Outsourcing
- Collaborate with and challenge suppliers to drive innovations, efficiency, and reduction of the Total Cost of Ownership for the Client
- Manage a portfolio of contracts, supplier performance, supply risks, and supplier relations
- Deliver cost-effective solutions that meet budget restrictions in an inflationary market
- Support the strategic transformation of Client in Europe regarding the repositioning of assets and outsourcing initiatives
- Embrace sustainability targets about the energy transition, carbon neutrality and circular economy
- Manage supply risks to secure business continuity in a global volatile market
Skills Required
- Minimum 10 years of experience in procurement or a commercial role within a complex, international business environment
- Excellent verbal and written English skills; ability to operate effectively across diverse European and global stakeholders
- Self-driven and entrepreneurial mindset with strong business acumen
- Excellent communication and influencing skills to manage stakeholders and suppliers.
Education/Training/Certifications
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in business administration, Economics, Supply Chain, or Operations Management, ideally with a specific professional qualification in procurement

Pay Rate/Salary
- $50.00 - $65.00/hr. Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors
