We are actively hiring a Sr. Accountant to join a thriving manufacturing client in Oakland County, Michigan! As the Sr. Accountant, you will strengthen the accuracy and integrity of key financial processes, while partnering with cross-functional teams in operations, manufacturing, and centralized corporate functions.
Key Responsibilities for Sr. Accountant
- Lead financial integration of newly acquired entities, aligning policies, procedures, and reporting while analyzing financial performance.
- Oversee core accounting processes, including journal entry approval, account reconciliations, financial statement consistency, and strong internal controls.
- Drive continuous improvement of ERP systems and financial reporting to enhance data quality, timeliness, and operational efficiency.
- Partner with operations, plant leadership, and corporate teams to provide financial insights, ensure proper accounting treatment, and execute additional projects with accuracy and completeness.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
- Demonstrated experience reviewing and overseeing the work of others.
- Strong attention to detail with well-developed organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work independently on tasks and projects.
