Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented SQL Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining SQL databases, ensuring optimal performance, security, and data integrity. The SQL Developer will collaborate with business analysts, application developers, and stakeholders to deliver high-quality database solutions that support business operations and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers.
Create and maintain database schemas, tables, views, and indexes.
Develop ETL processes for data integration, migration, and transformation.
Ensure database security, integrity, stability, and system availability.
Monitor database performance and implement tuning solutions.
Collaborate with application developers to integrate SQL databases into business applications.
Generate reports and dashboards as per business requirements.
Troubleshoot and resolve database-related issues in a timely manner.
Participate in code reviews, system upgrades, and database version migrations.
Document processes, database designs, and standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Proven experience (2–6 years) as an SQL Developer or Database Developer.
Strong knowledge of SQL Server / Oracle / MySQL / PostgreSQL (based on project requirements).
Expertise in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning.
Experience with ETL tools, SSIS, SSRS, or equivalent reporting tools.
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and database architecture.
Knowledge of backup, recovery, and security practices.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Preferred Skills:
Experience with cloud databases (Azure SQL, AWS RDS, Google Cloud SQL).
Knowledge of Big Data platforms and data pipelines.
Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies.
