Splash Pad Attendant
The Charter Township of Shelby Parks, Recreation, and Maintenance Department is now accepting applications for the position of Splash Pad Attendant at Gene Shepard Park.
Compensation
Hourly Rate: $16.16 per hour.This position is not eligible for benefits.
Essential Job Functions
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Interact professionally and courteously with Splash Pad attendees
- Provide information to the public regarding Splash Pad operations
- Utilize a computer system to coordinate concessions and daily/annual admission sales
- Handle cash and process concession transactions accurately
- Prepare accurate daily reports and maintain records
- Maintain order and enforce Splash Pad rules and regulations
- Assist in overseeing daily Splash Pad operations
- Train and support new hires
- Work effectively with other staff
- Set up and tear down for program activities and special events
- Stack chairs, set up tables, and assist with general event logistics
- Keep facilities clean, safe, and orderly
- Lock and secure buildings as necessary
- Assist with other Parks and Recreation programs and events as assigned
Minimum Requirements & Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Availability to work 16-20 hours per week, including weekends
- Ability to work between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to enforce rules in a respectful and professional manner
- Ability to perform light to moderate physical labor (lifting chairs, setting up tables, cleaning, etc.)
- Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions
- Ability to pass a pre-employment physical and drug screening
