- Position Type: Direct Placement (Full-Time)
- Pay Rate: $65/hr
- Shift/Hours: Full-Time Days, Monday–Friday, 40 hours/week
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our long-term care team at Samaritan Keep Home. You’ll play a vital role in improving residents’ quality of life by delivering high-quality speech therapy services across two facilities, including Samaritan Summit Village.
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our long-term care team at Samaritan Keep Home. You’ll play a vital role in improving residents’ quality of life by delivering high-quality speech therapy services across two facilities, including Samaritan Summit Village.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform initial evaluations and re-evaluations of residents.
- Design and implement customized speech therapy programs as referred by physicians.
- Supervise and support therapy assistants and ancillary staff.
- Provide cross-coverage between two long-term care facilities as needed.
Required Experience:
- Licensed Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in New York State
- Current BLS certification
- 1 year of SLP experience highly preferred (not required)
Nice-to-Have Experience:
- Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing facilities
- Multi-site or floating facility coverage experience
Required Skills:
- Patient evaluation and therapy planning
- Speech and language rehabilitation
- Documentation and treatment tracking
Preferred Skills:
- Team collaboration and staff supervision
- Geriatric and long-term care specialization
- EMR familiarity in rehab settings
Additional Skills:
- Ability to float between two facilities
- Resident-centered communication
- Experience with multi-disciplinary rehab teams
