About the Opportunity

A newly developed multi-specialty veterinary hospital in the greater Chicago area is seeking a Specialty Medical Director to help lead and grow a collaborative specialty team. This is an excellent opportunity for a board-certified or residency-trained specialist with leadership experience who is passionate about medical excellence, mentorship, and building a strong hospital culture.

The Medical Director will play a key role in shaping clinical standards, supporting specialist teams, and guiding the hospitals continued growth while maintaining the flexibility to remain involved in clinical practice if desired.

Experience & Skills Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM / VMD) or equivalent degree

• Board-Certified or Residency-Trained Veterinary Specialist

• Demonstrated leadership ability or experience guiding clinical teams

• Eligible for or currently holding an Illinois veterinary license in good standing prior to start date

• DEA license or eligibility to obtain one
