Specialty Infusion Services Pharmacist Compensation

• The pay for this position is $64.27 per hour
• Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
• A 401(k) with a company match i s available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates

Specialty Infusion Services Pharmacist Highlights

• · This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
• The required availability for this position is Monday–Friday, 6:00am–2:30pm or 12:30pm–8:00pm based on business needs; overtime may be required and there is no set closing shift time

Specialty Infusion Services Pharmacist Responsibilities

• ·         Accept and dispense prescription medications accurately
• Monitor patient medication compliance and over-usage patterns
• Ensure pharmacy operations comply with all applicable laws and regulations
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records and pharmacy files
• Provide patient counseling on medication usage, dosage, storage, side effects, and interactions
• Answer patient questions regarding prescription and non-prescription medications
• Compound medications for internal and external use
• Prepare sterile solutions following proper procedure
• Supervise pharmacy staff including technicians and clerks
• Maintain appropriate inventory of pharmaceutical and medical supplies
• Identify drug-related problems and collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers
• Monitor and clean sterile compounding areas
• Ensure competency of staff performing sterile compounding (cleaning, garbing, testing, training, procedures)
• Ensure compliance with USP 797 and USP 800 standards

Specialty Infusion Services Pharmacist Requirements

• ·         Active Pharmacist license issued by the State Board of Pharmacy
• Experience with sterile compounding
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a regulated environment
• Ability to supervise staff and work in a fast-paced setting
• High School Diploma or GED
• Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days

Specialty Infusion Services Pharmacist Preferred Qualifications

• ·         Previous experience in specialty infusion or hospital pharmacy setting
• Familiarity with USP 797 and USP 800 compliance standards
