Job Summary:
The Special Event Operations team supports the operational aspects for all non-game day events at Busch Stadium on a year-round basis. Special Events include external client, corporate, and internal events. The purpose of the Special Event Operations team is to provide operational efficiency with event set ups and tear-downs, and to provide gold glove service to our clients. Note that this is a logistics role and is primarily focused on pre- and post-event set up and tear down. This position involves moving heavy furniture and completing event set up and break-down.
The Special Event Operations Team will support all organizational events with operational and logistical needs on a year-round basis. The Special Events Operations Team will support non-gameday special events, corporate events including setting group meeting spaces, non-game day event spaces, and other special events as requested. This position is not client facing and is limited to event logistics.
Job Duties:
· Support logistical needs for events and meetings, primarily but not exclusively limited to event set up and tear down.
· Provide operational support for all non-game day events, primarily but not exclusively limited to event set up and tear down.
· Provide room flip and set based on scaled drawings of the space.
· Professional appearance and communication at all times
· Maintain a working knowledge of all ballpark policies and procedures as it relates to non-game day special events to ensure safety of all guests
· All duties, functions and responsibilities as assigned by direct supervisor
Experience Required:
· Available to work year-round
· Ability to work well in a team environment
· Ability to read and decipher an event layout
· Ability to lift 50+ pounds
· Excellent people and communication skills
· Ability to prioritize work based on multiple projects and sets at one time
· Available to work nights, weekends, and holidays (part time)
· Ability to take direction but also to work independently and on deadline
· Restaurant or banquet set up experience a plus, but not required
· Labor experience a plus but not required
