We are seeking a detail-oriented Fabrication Technician to help create highly realistic medical training manikins used in healthcare and emergency response training. In this role, you will transform raw silicone castings into lifelike human and canine simulators using a combination of artistic and technical techniques.
Schedule:
Monday – Friday
6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Key Responsibilities
Transform raw silicone castings into lifelike medical simulation models
Trim, assemble, glue, and finish silicone body components
Repair and blend blemishes, tears, air bubbles, and seams to meet quality standards
Prepare surfaces and apply color and shading using silicone paints
Use artistic techniques to enhance realism and durability of simulators
Dress wounds using urethane and silicone materials
Learn and perform hair punching techniques for silicone skin
Assist with assembling sub-components such as head skins and throat assemblies
Add costume elements such as boots and clothing to finished units
Assist with final inspection and packaging of completed manikins
Maintain a clean and organized workspace and properly care for tools and equipment
Learn fabrication techniques including casting, sculpting, trimming, painting, and assembly
Qualifications
Excellent manual dexterity and strong attention to detail
Good eye for color, shading, and aesthetic appearance
Basic understanding of 3D form and shape
Ability to use small hand tools, artist tools, and power tools (such as Dremel tools)
Basic sewing skills (machine or hand sewing) preferred
Ability to work with fabrics, silicone, and other materials
Strong communication skills and ability to work within a team
