Job Details

The Role
We are seeking a Special Education Teacher for our Fairfield, NJ location. We have two current openings: one in Pre-K (ages 3-5) and one for 4th/5th Grades. You will deliver structured, IEP-driven education that builds communication, socialization, and independence.

Key Responsibilities

Individualized Instruction: Deliver special education lessons aligned with curriculum and student-specific IEP goals.

Classroom Leadership: Lead and coordinate a team of paraprofessionals and 1:1 aides.

Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Partner with OT, PT, SLP, and behavioral teams to provide wraparound support.

Family Partnership: Maintain close communication with families to ensure progress and carryover strategies at home.

Documentation: Maintain accurate data collection, progress notes, and reports.


What You Bring

NJ Certification: Must hold Teacher of Students with Disabilities (TOSD) with P-3 or K-6 endorsement, OR Teacher of the Handicapped. CEAS or Standard Certificate required

Experience: Prior experience teaching students with developmental disabilities or multiple disabilities.
