About the Position
Teodora Health is partnering with a supportive school district in the Colorado Springs area seeking a Special Education Teacher for the upcoming school year.
This is a school-year contract role within one primary school placement in the Security–Widefield / Colorado Springs area, located just south of downtown Colorado Springs and within easy access to Fountain and Fort Carson.
Teachers are supported with IEP guidance, compliance assistance, and responsive communication throughout the assignment so you can focus on instruction and student progress.
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Deliver instruction in push-in, pull-out, or co-teach settings
• Collaborate with general education teachers and school staff
• Monitor and communicate student progress
• Maintain compliance with IDEA and district guidelines
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education
• Active Colorado Special Education license (or eligibility for CDE certification)
• Minimum 1 year classroom experience preferred
• Strong communication and documentation skills
