Boston Speech Therapy is seeking a compassionate and experienced Special Education Teacher to join our dedicated team.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with students with diverse learning needs across various grade levels in an inclusive and supportive environment. This is an in person only opportunity at a school. The position is with a 7th grade inclusion class (approx 12 students). MA Special Ed licence required. The position is temporary from March 22 till the end of the school year.
Your responsibilities will include developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), utilizing effective teaching strategies, and monitoring student progress to ensure academic success. You will collaborate with fellow educators, support staff, and families to create an engaging and nurturing educational experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and assess IEPs for students
- Deliver specialized instruction tailored to individual student needs
- Monitor and evaluate student progress, adjusting instructional methods as necessary
- Collaborate with general education teachers to create an inclusive learning environment
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student performance
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Masters's degree in Special Education or related field
- Valid state certification in Special Education
- Experience working with students with special needs
- Strong understanding of instructional strategies and behavioral management techniques
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to create and adapt learning materials for diverse learners
- Passion for teaching and commitment to enhancing student success
