This position requires familiarity in the following areas: DoD, commercial, and civil space operations, ground systems, on-orbit systems, links, international capabilities, threats, cyber operations/threats/security. The individual will assist in the coordination, development, and maintenance of said lessons. The individual will curate existing USSF curriculum and/or create new curriculum to produce online content for a new online course. The individual will collaborate with USSF government, civilian, and contractor personnel to develop and deliver the courseware IAW customer specifications.

This position is currently funded through Jan 2027. Start date is contingent on contract funding, with an estimated start date of 24 Apr 26.

Required Experience:

Specific duties:

Postgraduate-level adult education instructor and curriculum developer.  Instructional experience in areas of SME and additional subject areas as required, supporting online, blended, in-resident, and mobile courses.  Extensive understanding of the ADDIE curriculum design process, Instructional System Development (ISD) principles, and the intricacies and requirements for online course delivery to satisfy government course delivery requirements.

 

Curriculum developer.  Design, develop, implement, and maintain lesson plans and materials within the USAF Instructional System Development (ISD) guidelines to satisfy government educational requirements.  Interface with internal and external agencies and customers as required to maintain up-to-date education program materials. Provide strategic guidance in the adoption of modern digital learning experiences, identification of knowledge and skills gaps, and creation of new learning paths to support space expertise at scale.

Additional duties as required may be assigned.

Required Skills/Experience

  • Working knowledge of USSF Space Competencies
  • Working knowledge of Commercial, Civil, and DOD space capabilities and operations
  • Working knowledge and experience with training and education systems and programs
  • Working knowledge of, and experience with, DoD operational-level command and control
  • Working knowledge of US Space strategies, policies, and doctrine
  • Working knowledge of United States Combatant Commands.
  • Working knowledge of US partners in space
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)

 

Desired Skills/Experience

         Completion of Air Force Instructor Course or equivalent Joint Service or civilian course/degree

         Experience with DoD training/education, including planning, developing, and delivering instruction in accordance with the ISD model, training records keeping, and documentation.

         Familiarity with USSF organizations, Guardian development, and strategic direction

Required Education

          Masters degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field (8 years of experience in a relevant field may be substituted for the education requirement)

In compliance with Colorados Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the salary range for this role is $100,000 to $140,000; however, Sigmatech considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, experience, education/training, key skills, location and often contractual requirements.
