YourJourney 

  • Assistin administering the sale of beverages in outlet, lounge, and banquet functions,as well as teaching and mentoring bartenders, servers, and other associates involved in the sale of alcoholic beverages 

  • Guide guests through the wine list, offering detailed descriptions and recommendations based on their preferences and menu selections. 

  • Engage guests in discussions about wine, answering questions, sharing insights, and providing memorable anecdotes or stories about featured wines. 

  • Educateassociatesabout wine regions, grape varietals, flavor profiles, and food pairings through training sessions, tastings, and educational materials. 

  • Conduct associatetrainingon wine service standards, including proper decanting, pouring, and presentation techniques. 

  • Provide ongoing mentorship and support to develop the wine knowledge and service skills of team members. 

  • Maintain the wine cellar inoptimalcondition, ensuring proper temperature, humidity, and storage conditions to preserve wine quality. 

  • Conduct regular inventory audits,monitorwine aging, and track cellar rotation to minimize waste and maximize profitability. 

  • Work with restaurant management to oversee beverage costs and pricing 

  • Maintain wine and cocktail lists with Bartenders and Beverage Managers  

  • Attend daily pre-shift meeting 

  • Deliver on guests’ expectations and have the desire to create WOW moments 

  • Performadditionalduties as assigned that may be outside of the normal scope of duties, based on business needs

  • Prior micros or other systems experience, a plus 

  • Certificate of completion from the Guild of Sommeliers, a plus 

  • Luxuryhotelexperience,aplus

PhysicalRequirements 

  • Ability to stand and exercise mobility for extended periods of time during your scheduled shift 

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly and for extended periods during the shift
