Job Summary This role involves providing frontline technical support for issues via phone, walk-in, email, or other methods. Responsibilities include triaging requests, resolving them, or assigning tickets to ITS colleagues. Drafting communications and documentation for college ITS systems, efficiently communicating with college constituents, and supporting students, faculty, and staff with IT and printing issues, primarily focusing on the follow-me print system. Responsibilities Provide primary front line technical support for hardware, software, account, and network issues using a variety of contact methods (such as phone, email, tickets, and in-person), to include all college-owned computing devices, wherever they may be (remote support is common) as well as supporting college systems and software on student computers. Provide support for colleagues in the Solutions Center and the ITS division. Instruct students, faculty, and staff on how to complete tasks or solve a problem using technology in various settings and via multiple formats. Use the ITS ticketing system to update and act on assigned tickets promptly and efficiently. Draft documentation for ITS and college community use. Minimum Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent. A+ certification or similar experience. Ability to operate/troubleshoot standard office equipment such as computers, laser printer, copy machine, telephone, calculator, and fax machine. Excellent oral and written communication skills and attention to detail. Ability to communicate effectively and develop positive relationships with people from different cultural backgrounds. Proficient in spelling, punctuation, grammar, and basic math. Good judgement and ability to handle confidential/sensitive information with discretion. Excellent organizational and customer service skills. Preferred Qualifications Some college experience; experience doing outreach/technology support in a school or business.
