JOB SUMMARY:The Solution Consultant, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management (F&SCM), delivers functional consulting services for assigned modules and business processes from discoverythrough golive andpost golive support. This role gathers and documents business requirements, performs fit-gap analysis, configures the solution, supports testing, develops training materials, and provides client support in alignment with the approved solution design and project scope. The Solution Consultant works closely with clients, internal teams, and third-party vendors to deliver high quality implementation outcomes, manage day-to-day client interactions within assigned scope, and support successful project execution. This is a client-facing consulting role that requires dependable execution, sound judgment on common issues, strong customer engagement, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team while continuing to buildexpertisein Dynamics 365 F&SCM and related business processes.
Responsibilities:ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Functional Delivery and Requirements Support
- Learn,utilize, and promote Arctic IT's project implementationmethodology.
- Participate in client meetings to gather business requirements and map those requirements to the proposed solution.
- Document business requirements, process flows, fit-gap findings, functional decisions, and action items for assigned scope.
- Perform fit-gap analysis from requirements gathered to solution proposed.
- Own defined functional tasks or deliverables independently, while coordinating dependencies, timelines, and broader design questions with senior team members.
- Identifyrisks, issues, and possiblescopechanges within assigned area and communicate them clearly to project leadership.
Solution Build and Configuration
- Configure Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&SCM modules and key third-party products within assigned functional area using Arctic IT standards and established implementation practices.
- Complete project documentation, including functionalrequirementsdocuments, functional design documents, configuration workbooks, test scripts, user acceptance testing materials, process documentation, and end user training documentation.
- Partner with technical resources to support functional requirements for customizations, extensions, reports, data conversions, and integrations.
- Validate delivered functionality against requirements and approved solution design, and document needed corrections or follow-up actions.
- Support functional reporting requirements, including financial statements and other financial or operational reporting tools, when applicable to assigned scope.
Data Migration and Integrations
- Assistin defining functional requirements for data migration, including mapping, validation rules, data quality expectations, and business process impacts.
- Support data conversion activities using approved templates, tools, and repeatable patterns;validateoutcomes with project team members and business users.
- Support integration requirements and helpvalidateend-to-end business scenarios involving external systems and data flows.
- Assistwith issue resolution related to conversion and integration activities within assigned scope.
Testing, Training, and Go Live Support
- Participate in all tasks relating to feature testing, solution testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing.
- Develop test cases and test scenarios for assigned modules and business processes.
- Document defects clearly, support defect triage, andvalidateretesting results.
- Prepare for and support user acceptance testing, including script development, user guidance, and issue tracking.
- Develop end user training materials and deliver training in one-on-one,webinar, and classroom-style settings.
- Provide application support for clients during implementation, go live, stabilization, and post go live periods.
- Assistwith cutover readiness activities and support issue resolution during deployment andhypercare.
Client Support and Internal Contribution
- Manage day-to-day client interactions within assigned scope andmaintainresponsive, professional communication.
- Assistwith escalation support for help desk and client support issues, as needed.
- Work with management and project leadership to keep projects on schedule and recommend needed action to meet deadlines.
- Support Senior Solution Consultants, Solution Architects, and other delivery leaders with various duties.
- Participate in pre-sales support activities, including discovery, solution reviews, demonstrations, andscopeclarification, as needed.
- Obtain andmaintainMicrosoft Dynamics 365 certifications, as applicable.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with MicrosoftDynamics365 Finance and Operations, or equivalent combined education and experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of industry, technical, or application consulting experience.
- Strong understanding of the software implementation life cycle, including project delivery, requirements definition, functional design, quality management, and change management.
- Experience in one or more Dynamics 365 Finance and/or Supply Chain Management functional areas.
- Strong Finance module experience; accounting background preferred.
- Experience with Supply Chain Management modules, such as procurement, inventory, warehouse, or production, based on role focus.
- Microsoft Office 365 experience.
- Applicants subject to government security investigations and must meet eligibility requirements related to the clearance process.
- Pass background checks as needed.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:The majority ofwork for this role is performed in a home office and interacts with a wide variety of people with differing functions,personalities,and abilities. Telecommuters are expected to have sufficient home office space that appears neat,organized,and professional when on video meetings. Travel isrequiredand varies around 25%.
