Summary
The team is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Software Verification Engineer I to join our Software Verification team. This role supports a fast-paced, innovative environment and focuses on ensuring software quality through requirements analysis, test design, execution, and defect resolution. The ideal candidate has strong coding fundamentals, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for quality—even if they are early in their testing career.
Responsibilities
- Analyze software requirements and design comprehensive test cases in alignment with company practices, FDA regulations, and ISO standards
- Plan, write, and execute manual test cases independently and collaboratively
- Design and develop new test suites for new features and functionality
- Perform dry runs and formal software verification and validation (V&V) activities
- Set up and configure test equipment and test environments
- Identify, document, track, and close defects discovered during V&V activities
- Participate in requirements, design, and test reviews
- Produce clear, accurate documentation to support quality and management decision?making
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or related field
- 0–2 years of professional experience
- Strong coding skills (testing experience not required)
- Foundational knowledge of software testing concepts
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle (SDLC) tools
- Highly organized, detail?oriented, and able to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem?solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proven ability to collaborate and build relationships across teams
- Proactive, self?starter mindset with a positive, energized attitude
- Medical device industry experience (nice to have, not required)
- Preference for local candidates
- Relocation at the candidate’s expense is acceptable, provided relocation can be completed within two weeks without impacting onboarding
