Software Engineer - Core Engineer

Location:

Hybrid Position (Tuesday to Friday at Wagner Place East)

Introduction

Join our team as a Core Engineer where you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications and products to meet customer needs. You will be involved in the entire software development lifecycle, including designing software architecture, writing code, testing for quality, and deploying the software to meet customer requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in Angular, Java, Spring Boot, GCP, and PostgreSQL
• Experience with CI/CD (Jenkins, GitHub)
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and practices (Rally)
• Experience in developing test plans, execution, and continuous releases
• 6 years in IT; 4 years in development
• Prior work experience at client or in client's Industry
• Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Tekton, API, SonarQube, and Dynatrace
• Experience with Service interaction API/tools (APIGEE, Swagger)
• Experience with Spring Cloud and deploying to cloud platforms, preferably Pivotal Cloud Foundry or Google Cloud Platform

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to understand their use-cases, pain points, and requirements
• Design, develop, and deliver software using various tools, languages, frameworks, and technologies
• Create high-level software architecture designs
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams like product owners, designers, and architects
• Define and implement software test strategies, guidelines, policies, and processes
• Work on continuously improving performance and optimizing the application
• Support security practices to safeguard user data
