Software Engineer - Commodity Senior Engineer

Introduction

Employees in this role are responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications and products to meet customer needs. They are involved in the entire software development lifecycle, including designing software architecture, writing code, testing for quality, and deploying the software to meet customer requirements. This position involves full-stack software engineering roles, capable of developing all components of software, including user interface and server side.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in Java.
• Experience as a Senior Engineer with practical knowledge in two coding languages or advanced practice in one language.
• 10 years in IT; 8 years in development.
• Ability to guide and mentor junior engineers.
• Prior work experience in the client's industry.
• Applicants must be able to work directly for Artech on W2.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Experience in supporting team for End-To-End integrations using Microservice Architecture in GCP.
• Experience in problem-solving and continuous improvement initiatives.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to deeply understand their use-cases, pain points, and requirements.
• Solve complex problems by designing, developing, and delivering using various tools, languages, frameworks, methodologies, and technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams like product owners, designers, and architects.
• Define and implement software test strategy, guidelines, policies, and processes.
• Work on continuously improving performance and optimizing applications.
• Support security practices to safeguard user data.
• Create user-friendly and interactive interfaces.
• Develop and maintain back-end applications like APIs and microservices.
• Evaluate and incorporate emerging technologies and capabilities.
