Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Developer / Manufacturing Systems Engineer to support and enhance critical plant systems in our Trenton, South Carolina manufacturing facility . This role is ideal for a hands-on IT professional with strong experience in Wonderware, PLC data acquisition, and .NET development within manufacturing environments .

The ideal candidate will take ownership of projects from initial concept through implementation and ongoing production support, helping drive automation, data visibility, and operational efficiency across plant systems.

Software Developer / Manufacturing Systems Engineer Compensation

  • The pay for this position is $90,000-96,000 + 10% annual bonus
  • Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment

Software Developer / Manufacturing Systems Engineer Highlights

  • Software Developer / Manufacturing Systems EngineerResponsibilities

    ·         Design, develop, and support plant-floor software applications and manufacturing system integrations

    ·         Work extensively with Wonderware to enhance visualization, reporting, and operational workflows

    ·         Develop advanced database solutions using T-SQL

    ·         Build and maintain applications using VB.NET, ADO.NET, and ASP.NET

    ·         Integrate manufacturing equipment data through PLC data acquisition systems

    ·         Collaborate with engineering, operations, and IT teams to improve plant performance

    ·         Lead projects from requirements gathering through deployment and post-implementation support

    ·         Troubleshoot and resolve software, database, and industrial communication issues

    ·         Support continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing technology and automation

    Software Developer / Manufacturing Systems EngineerRequirements

    • 5+ years of software development experience
    • 5+ years working in a manufacturing environment
    • Extensive hands-on experience with Wonderware
    • Strong proficiency in advanced T-SQL programming
    • Solid .NET development skills with emphasis on:
      • VB.NET
      • ADO.NET
      • ASP.NET
    • Experience with PLC data acquisition
    • Demonstrated ability to independently lead projects from conception to support
    • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience with Kepware
    • Familiarity with classic ASP
    • Experience supporting Zebra handheld computers/scanners
    • Background in plant-floor automation and manufacturing systems integration
    • Experience supporting legacy and modern industrial software applications
