We have first and 2nd shift openings for the SMT Operators-
Pay Rate is $18-$22 per hour- Position Summary:
The SMT (Surface Mount Technology) Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining SMT equipment to assemble electronic components onto printed circuit boards (PCBs).
Must be able to work in a high volume manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up, operate, and monitor SMT pick-and-place machines, solder paste printers, reflow ovens, and inspection equipment.
Load PCBs into the SMT machine, ensuring proper alignment and fixture setup.
Monitor machine performance and ensure accurate placement of components on the PCB.
Solder Paste Application:
Operate solder paste printing machines to apply solder paste to PCBs before component placement.
Inspect paste application quality and adjust settings to correct any issues.
Reflow and Curing:
Monitor reflow oven temperatures and conveyor speeds to ensure optimal soldering conditions.
Ensure that the soldering process achieves strong and reliable solder joints without defects such as bridges or cold solder joints.
Inspection and Quality Control:
Use automated optical inspection (AOI) systems or visual inspection to detect defects (e.g., misplacements, solder bridges, incorrect components).
Document and report any quality issues or deviations from standards to the supervisor or engineering team.
