Volt is immediately hiring for Experienced SMT Operators in Carlsbad, Ca.

 

As an SMT Operator you will:


The SMT Operator I works under direct supervision and is responsible for supporting surface mount manufacturing operations using both automated and manual equipment. This role includes the setup, operation, monitoring, and adjustment of SMT equipment to ensure all printed circuit boards meet or exceed company quality standards. The ideal candidate demonstrates a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
This position requires daily interaction with the SMT Lead, peers, and supervisors, as well as participation in routine housekeeping activities.

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Operate and support SMT equipment including printing, placement, reflow, and AOI
  • Read, understand, and identify SMD components
  • Interpret safety rules, operating procedures, pick lists, Bills of Materials, and engineering documents
  • Assist the SMT Lead with identifying and implementing process improvements
  • Work in an ESD-sensitive environment
  • Read and follow assembly drawings and work instructions
  • Maintain punctuality and consistent attendance
  • Stand for extended periods as required by the role

This is a full-time opportunity.

Required skills:

 

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience with SMT equipment in a manufacturing or related environment
  • Strong attention to detail with a quality-driven mindset
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Availability for overtime as needed
  • Strong communication skills
  • Reliable transportation

 

Availability to work 2nd shift, 1:30 pm to 10:00 pm

Pay Rate:$22.00-23.00 per hour
