Salary Range: $86,000 - $131,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily shop floor operations, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to production schedules.
• Manage and motivate a team of production staff, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and disciplinary actions.
• Implement and enforce safety protocols and procedures to maintain a secure and compliant work environment.
• Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods, coordinating with procurement and logistics.
• Ensure quality control standards are met throughout the manufacturing process, addressing and resolving any deviations.
• Maintain and troubleshoot production machinery and equipment, coordinating repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Manage the shop's budget, controlling costs and identifying opportunities for operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, sales, and finance, to achieve overall business objectives.

Recommended Qualifications

• Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of production processes.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on efficiency and quality control.
• Proficiency in inventory management, supply chain logistics, and cost control.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with all levels of the organization.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations within a manufacturing setting.

Bonus Qualifications

• - Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma certification
• - Experience with ERP/MRP systems
• - Strong understanding of quality control methodologies
