Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily shipping and receiving operations.
- Verify, record, and maintain accurate shipment documentation.
- Receive returns, arrange pickups, and provide tracking information.
- Assemble, pack, label, and palletize orders for safe shipment.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing trucks.
- Complete deliveries and pickups as required.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping/receiving area.
- Remove excess materials (cardboard, strapping, pallets) daily.
- Ensure docks (inside and outside) are clean, swept, and free of debris.
- Support production activities as needed.
- Perform backup duties and other miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
Shipping & Logistics Coordination
- Verify items against sales or work orders for accuracy (quantity, destination, routing).
- Coordinate with carriers to schedule shipments and deliveries.
- Track shipments and provide proof of delivery when needed.
- Prepare and process shipping documentation, including international paperwork.
- Maintain proficiency with carrier websites and shipping software.
- Manage vendor systems, including email notifications and shipment updates.
Inventory & Quality Support
- Receive incoming shipments physically and within IQMS.
- Perform incoming material inspections when required.
- Support ISO Quality Systems and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing principles in daily operations.
