Job Summary:

The Shipping and Receiving Associate is responsible for executing daily shipping, receiving, and inventory activities while ensuring compliance with DOT, IATA, IMDG, GMP, ISO, and internal procedures. This role plays a critical part in maintaining on-time shipments and supporting safe, compliant warehouse operations.
The position requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of hazardous materials regulations, and the ability to operate equipment such as forklifts in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure all work complies with D.O.T., IATA, IMDG Hazardous Communications regulations, GMP, ISO, and company procedures.
  • Maintain daily focus on achieving on-time shipments.
Shipping Activities:
  • Pick and palletize orders for shipment.
  • Process FedEx shipments and provide required documentation.
  • Process UPS shipments and provide required documentation.
  • Process LTL (common carrier) shipments and provide required documentation.
  • Operate FedEx shipping equipment.
  • Prepare international documentation in accordance with IATA regulations.
Receiving & Inventory:
  • Barcode cylinders (shipped and received).
  • Load and unload trucks.
  • Receive and inspect UPS, FedEx, and truck shipments and log daily receipts.
  • Perform daily cycle counts and report non-conforming products.
  • Move inbound shipments to designated quarantine areas.
Operations & Compliance:
  • Operate a forklift safely.
  • Ensure all DOT certification requirements are met.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Complete all required training activities successfully and on time.
  • Collaborate with the work cell leader to suggest productivity improvements.

Required Experience:

  • Experience in shipping and receiving operations.
  • Knowledge of hazardous material shipping regulations (DOT, IATA, IMDG).
  • Experience operating forklifts safely.

Nice-to-Have Experience:

  • cGMP knowledge or experience in regulated environments.
  • Experience with scheduling systems.
  • Familiarity with product lines and inventory management systems.

Required Skills:

  • Knowledge of DOT, IATA, and IMDG certification requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
  • Ability to maintain compliance with hazardous communications regulations.

Preferred Skills:

  • Understanding of cGMP requirements.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to suggest and implement productivity improvements.

Additional Skills:

  • International shipment documentation preparation.
  • Daily cycle count reporting and quarantine process handling.
  • Equipment operation including FedEx systems and forklifts.
