  • Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM (After approximately 2 weeks of training, shift changes to Monday – Friday, 1:00 PM – 9:30 PM)

Job Summary:
The Shipper I is responsible for packaging and marking outgoing shipments in compliance with military, company, and customer requirements. This role supports shipping and receiving operations by ensuring accurate documentation, inventory tracking, and safe material handling while maintaining compliance with company and export regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate UPS and FedEx shipping and labeling equipment.
  • Maintain records of outgoing shipments.
  • Pack materials per standard work instructions to ensure safe handling during shipment.
  • Prepare shipping documents and mailing labels; ensure orders are filled correctly.
  • Accurately address and label packages; compute freight/postal rates; record shipment weight and cost.
  • Prepare commercial invoices and provide shipment information to internal departments (e.g., Finance).
  • Verify incoming shipments against purchase orders, bills of lading, or invoices.
  • Record shipments and inspect condition of contents.
  • Barcode inventory at the receiving point.
  • Check shipments for discrepancies in quantity, price, and discounts.
  • Process and move properly transacted receipts.
  • Arrange adjustments with shippers for lost or damaged merchandise.
  • Control receiving platform operations, including weights and freight charges.
  • Perform accurate physical receiving of materials/products to maintain inventory integrity within an ERP system.
  • Enter data and close receipts and shipments in inventory systems.
  • Ensure delivery of materials/products to the appropriate departments.
  • Comply with aerospace safety, health, and environmental (SHE) policies and standards.
Required Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of stockroom, shipping, receiving, and inspection processes.
  • Experience with computerized inventory tracking systems (MRP/ERP).
  • Handheld inventory scanner experience.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate effectively internally and externally.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or Permanent Resident (due to export law requirements).
  • Experience operating hydraulic lifts, pallet jacks, and walking power lifts.
Nice-to-Have Experience:
  • Previous experience operating a forklift.
  • Working knowledge of electronic inventory management systems.
  • Barcode inventory experience.
  • Cycle counting experience.
  • Kitting experience.
