Position Summary
Marsden Central is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Janitorial Shift Manager to oversee cleaning operations in a large Class A office building in downtown Minneapolis. This role is responsible for supervising janitorial staff, ensuring quality standards are met, and maintaining effective communication with both team members and building management.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and support janitorial staff during assigned shift
- Train and develop all associates in all job positions within the assigned area to ensure all associates are following consistent cleaning procedures
- Conduct safety training and completes safety audits
- Manage staff scheduling, attendance, and performance
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and request replenishments as needed
- Address client requests, concerns, and service issues in a timely and professional manner
- Ensure compliance with all safety policies, OSHA guidelines, and company procedures
Qualifications
- Previous janitorial or custodial experience required
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience required
- Ability to manage teams in a fast-paced commercial environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions
- Basic computer or reporting skills preferred
- Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. and perform physical tasks throughout the shift
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive annual salary $50,000-$58,000 (based on experience)

Education and Experience
- High school diploma or GED is preferred
- 2 to 4 years of experience in commercial cleaning, facilities maintenance, or any other related service-based industry
- 2 to 4 years of experience in a supervisory role overseeing frontline employees
- Bi-lingual English-Spanish is preferred
