JOB TITLE: Sheet Metal Mechanic  

LOCATION: Pinellas Park, FL

PAY RATE: $19.09 - $23.00 per hour

Summary: 

• Performs a variety of tasks related to the manufacturing, assembly, and refurbishment of aircraft parts and structures (e.g., F-16 and F-35 canopies, C-130 sub-assemblies)

• Utilizes controlled tooling and build-to-print methods, aligning parts using jigs, templates, and fixtures

• Conducts part-fitting operations such as filing, sawing, trimming, drilling, riveting, and cold working

• Measures parts to verify dimensions and may modify assemblies for repairs

• Works from blueprints, diagrams, and specifications

• Monitors and verifies quality, suggesting corrective actions

Required Skills:

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, mathematical ability for calculations, and proficiency in reading blueprints and technical data

• 1-2 years of sheet metal assembly/aircraft sheet metal structure experience required

• Previous experience as an Assembler and/or Aircraft Structures Mechanic preferred

• Experience with F-16, C-130, and F-35 aircraft structures highly preferred

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently or in teams and communicate effectively

• Computer proficiency for data access and management

• No relocation assistance provided
