Description:
Our client is currently seeking a SharePoint Administrator
The SharePoint Administrator will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization’s SharePoint Online environment. This role ensures secure collaboration, effective governance, and smooth migration from legacy file shares to modern cloud-based solutions. The administrator will also provide user support, training, and ongoing optimization to maximize adoption and efficiency.

This job will have the following responsibilities:
    • Create site collections, sites, libraries, metadata, and taxonomy aligned with organizational needs
    • Establish naming conventions, folder structures, and governance standards to replace legacy file share patterns
    • Implement role-based access, sharing policies, sensitivity labels, retention policies, and compliance settings
    • Manage secure external and internal sharing as departments move workloads into SharePoint
    • Conduct training sessions and create documentation for staff adapting from network drives to SharePoint
    • Support users with file access issues, permissions problems, sync errors, and collaboration features
    • Monitor site usage, storage, performance, search indexing, and content lifecycle
    • Manage automation scripts (PowerShell, PnP PowerShell), provisioning templates, and integration with Teams and OneDrive.
  • Requirements:

    • Strong expertise in SharePoint Online administration
    • Experience with information architecture (sites, libraries, metadata, taxonomy)
    • Knowledge of governance and compliance (sensitivity labels, retention policies)
    • Proficiency in role-based access and security configuration
    • Hands-on experience with PowerShell / PnP PowerShell scripting
    • Familiarity with Teams and OneDrive integration
    • Ability to deliver user training and change management programs
    • Strong troubleshooting skills for file access, permissions, and sync issues
    • Experience in performance monitoring and optimization
    • Excellent documentation and process governance skills
