Service Technician

Preferred Candidates Have The Following:

·         Two plus years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

·         Basic computer skills

·         High Determination and Willingness to Learn

·         High School Diploma- College or Technical training preferred, but not required

·         Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics, electrical systems, brakes (including air brake systems), and suspension components.

·         Familiarity with schematics is essential for troubleshooting complex issues.

·         Ability to lift heavy components safely during maintenance tasks; excellent mechanical knowledge combined with customer service skills ensures quality repairs.

·         Knowledge of safety protocols related to heavy lifting and vehicle maintenance standards.

·         Valid CDL License a plus

·         ASE Certification a plus

Essential Duties

·         Perform DOT inspections, perform PM service on equipment, and provide support with additional equipment repairs as needed.

·         Provide support and assist with the DOT inspections on trailers, tractors and trucks.

·         Provide support and assist with air brake inspection and replacement.

·         Provide support and assist with aftermarket GPS installation.

·         Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards.

·         Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts.

·         Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer.

·         Communicates with service advisor/dispatcher immediately on repair updates and or delays.

·         Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order.

·         Operates all tools/equipment in a safe manner and reports any safety issues immediately to management.

·         Diagnose complex mechanical problems using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools; execute repairs efficiently.

·         Repair and service diesel engines, transmissions, air brake systems, hydraulics, suspension components, shocks & struts, and electrical systems.

·         Maintain detailed records of all service work performed; ensure compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.

·         Support customer service initiatives by providing timely repairs that minimize downtime for operational teams.
